Your camera sees personal moments. We built Slerpr so that its AI runs on your iPhone, not in our cloud, and we collect only what we need to run the Services.
The short version: your photos and video are processed on-device; we never sell your data; we don't train AI on your content; and you can export or delete your data at any time.
1. Who we are
Slerpr is an AI-powered camera app for iPhone made by Slerpr LLC (“Slerpr,” “we,” “us”). This policy covers the Slerpr iOS app, the website at slerpr.app, Slerpr accounts and any related services (together, the “Services”). If you have questions, contact us at contact@slerpr.com.
2. Your photos and video stay on your device
Slerpr's AI features — including segmentation, depth estimation, neural enhancement and AR — run locally on your iPhone's Neural Engine. We do not upload your photos, videos or camera feed to our servers to process them.
Your media only leaves your device if you choose to send it somewhere — for example, by turning on sync to your Slerpr account, sharing a link, or exporting to another app. When you use account sync, your synced media is stored encrypted and is used only to provide that feature to you.
3. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account information — your name, email address and password (stored as a salted hash), or the identifier provided by Sign in with Apple.
- Communications — messages you send to support and your email preferences.
- Synced content — media and project data you choose to sync to your account.
- Purchases — if you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is handled by Apple. We receive confirmation of your subscription status, not your card details.
Information collected automatically
- Device and app information — device model, iOS version, app version, language and region.
- Usage and diagnostics — which features are used, performance metrics and crash reports. This data is not linked to the content of your photos or videos.
- Website data — basic log data such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, and the cookies described in our Cookie Policy.
Permissions on your iPhone
Slerpr asks for camera, microphone and photo library access so it can capture and save media, and may ask for motion and LiDAR/depth data for AR features. You can change these permissions at any time in iOS Settings. We do not collect precise location unless you choose to add location to a capture.
4. How we use information
- To provide, maintain and improve the Services, including account sync and support.
- To create and secure your account, prevent fraud and abuse, and keep the Services safe.
- To understand how the Services are used and fix bugs and performance problems.
- To send you service messages and, if you opt in, launch news and product updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
5. AI models and your content
We do not use your photos, videos or synced content to train our AI models. Any improvement to our models uses data we have licensed or created ourselves, or data you have explicitly chosen to contribute through a clearly labelled opt-in.
7. Data retention
We keep account information for as long as your account is active. Synced content is kept until you delete it or delete your account. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we must keep it to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes or enforce our agreements. Backups are overwritten on a regular cycle.
8. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls and regular security reviews. You can add a further layer of protection by turning on two-factor authentication in your account settings. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and tell us right away at contact@slerpr.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you and receive a copy of it.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete your information or your account.
- Object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent where we rely on it.
- Opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link or your notification settings.
You can do most of this yourself from Account settings, or email contact@slerpr.com. We will respond within the time required by law and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. Residents of California, the EEA, the UK and other regions with privacy laws may also have the right to lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.
10. International transfers
Slerpr LLC is based in the United States, and we may process information in the United States and other countries. When we transfer personal information from the EEA, UK or Switzerland, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
11. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us at contact@slerpr.com and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or in the app before they take effect. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
